Mission:
The mission of the SoFlo Cares Program is to lend support and encouragement to our fellow members by providing comfort through love and kindness during their time of bereavement, sickness and physical/emotional recovery.
Purpose:
The significance of having a support system during times of crisis cannot be overstated. The purpose of the SoFlo Cares Program is to ensure that each member knows that someone—probably several someones— has their back. With an annual donation of $10 per member, the SoFlo Cares program can provide financial and emotional support services to all members of the NFBPA South Florida chapter during times of bereavement and crisis.
The Importance of Prioritizing Our Membership:
Prioritization of member bereavement and crises is vital to help the National Forum for Black Public Administrators-South Florida chapter focus on what truly matters-its membership. By allocating resources efficiently, we can ensure that all members feel supported. Additionally, mental health referrals, education, and resources focused on emotional intelligence will assist National Forum for Black Public Administrators-South Florida Chapter members to improve their work/life balance.
Eligibility Requirements:
Recipients of the SoFlo Cares Program must be members of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators-South Florida Chapter.
